(Re)Discover the power of Anne Frank in April
Friday April 1 marks the launch of the 2016 Big D Reads with a special reading of The Diary of a Young Girl at the Dallas Holocaust Museum. Beginning at 10 am, members of the community and the museum will be taking turns reading aloud in the “secret annex” – part of the Anne Frank exhibit on display in the museum through May 31.
The exhibit goes beyond the events of Anne’s life to provide a broader perspective on the Holocaust, human rights, and the Nazis. Throughout the month of April, we will be doing the same with a series of programs exploring those themes and more, including children’s programming, movie screenings, book discussions, and special events featuring guest speakers and other literature inspired by the Holocaust.
